Brien grew up in Bassett, VA and graduated from Bassett High School in 1992. Brien worked as a self-employed mechanic and was also employed by Ply Gem in Rocky Mount, VA.
Brien was an excellent cook and baker. He made the best coconut pies for family gatherings and holidays.
Brien was great with kids and loved his nieces and nephews.
Brien was a kind, gentle spirit who was deeply loved by all who knew him.
Brien was proceeded in death by his oldest brother, Anthony Sherod (Rod) Prunty; Maternal grandparents, Willie and Mildred Holt; and Paternal Grandmother, Avis Prunty.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his parents, Anthony and Casenio Prunty. His brother Tyree (Teedy) Prunty (Christy). Uncles Melvin Prunty (Gaynell) and Clarence (Wayne) Holt and Anita (Auntie) Holt McGill (Shaun).
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 14, 2021 at The Greater International Pentecostal Holiness Church Assembly Building, 980 Carver Road, Martinsville, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens.
