I had the pleasure to know and talk with Fred when he worked as a substitute teacher here at GHS.  He was one of the few people that I've known who could discuss just about any topic that came up.  We enjoyed him very much, and he will certainly be missed.  My condolences to Alice and his family  Hershel Walker, GHS history teacher

Fred was a one of a kind person. He was always ready to share important information when asked a question about any subject. He was brilliant. I am so glad to have worked with him at GISD. He also taught my child Jeremie Scott Lehmann        Thanks Linda Lehmann

Mr. Tripp was our best (sub) teacher at GHS in our ag department.  He was a great person and we will miss him greatly.  We are sorry for your loss but he is with the Lord now and this is the best place possible.

Our family's thoughts, prayers, and most sincere condolences go out to the Tripp family.  Fred was a good man; he will be missed by all who knew him.

I had the pleasure of meeting & working with Fred in 2003 while I was teaching at Giddings High School. Fred was a man of integrity and had a wealth of knowledge to share. I enjoyed the times we shared and know he will be missed by all. God bless his family in their time of need and may Fred rest in peace.

Fred was an honest and true gentleman. I met him 25 years ago working at Intermedics and we began hunting West Texas(Marathon) and South Texas together. He was a pleasure to be around and could spin a tale with the best of them. We spent many days at the gun range together. He was a good and loyal friend. He will be missed.

Fred was always the go to guy back at Carbo & IOI. Myself, Beverly Botkin, & my husband, Ralph Thorp, will always cherish the joy of having him in our lives. May God grant you peace and wonderful memories.

We all loved Fred at IOI. We were a family back then. I will never forget him. Alice & the family are in my prayers.

We all loved Fred,  back when IOI first started we were all like a family. I met Alice at one of the NRA dinner/auctions. They were such good people. My prayers will be with Alice & the family. Fred will never be forgotten by any of us old IOI people. He will be missed.
