

Adrian Paul Scallan, 77, of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away unexpectedly early Monday, February 10, 2025. Born in Marksville, LA, he built a life filled with hard work, cherished friendships, and unwavering devotion to his family.
A graduate of Marksville High School and Spencer Business College, Adrian was a self-made and successful businessman. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and a former member of the National Guard. Known for his generous spirit, Adrian never hesitated to help those in need, whether family or friends.
Adrian had a deep love for life and enjoyed golfing, attending sports events, horse racing, hunting, and cooking. He was a sentimental storyteller who treasured sharing memories with loved ones. His friendships were of great importance to him, many lasting over sixty years. Above all, Adrian adored his granddaughters, Amèlie Lajoie and Hazel Scallan, and wholeheartedly supported them in all their activities, from plays and piano recitals to tee-ball games and tea parties.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne Scallan; his daughter, Kimberly Scallan-Lajoie, and her husband, David Lajoie, along with their daughter, Amèlie Lajoie; his son, Joshua Scallan, and his wife, Alyssa Scallan, along with their daughter, Hazel Scallan. He is also survived by his stepmother, Patricia Scallan; brothers, Herman Scallan (Vicky Scallan) and Mike Scallan; sisters, Leslie Roy, Carla Couvillon (Peter Couvillon), Dr. Elise Scallan Lalonde (Dr. Jimmy Lalonde), Teenie Laborde (Bubba laborde), Toni Fitzgerald (Aaron Fitzgerald), and Julie Lewis. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Adrian was preceded in death by his father, Herman Rock Scallan; mother, Lethia Scallan; parents-in-law, Thomas M. Stogner Sr. and Winsome Broussard Stogner; and cherished family members Thomas Stogner II, John Politz, Murwyne Politz, Bubba Politz, Laura Martin, Gordon Roy, and Mickey Marceaux.
A visitation and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM officiated by Fr. Cleo Milano.
Adrian's kindness, generosity, and love for his family and friends will forever be remembered and cherished.
