
Ann Lindsly Hannaman, 93, died peacefully at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital on Friday evening, April 12, 2013. She was born in New Roads, LA on April 24, 1919. Ann graduated from Poydras High School, where she was a member of the girls' basketball team. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the EBR Parish Homemakers' Club. Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Lee Francis Hannaman; parents, Lewis and Clara Paille Lindsly; sister, Agnes Lindsly Normand and brother-in-law, Clifford; brothers, Lewis and sister-in-law, Georgia Lindsly; Felix and sister-in- law, Leola "Tick" Lindsly, and Clarence and sister-in-law, Vernice Lindsly, all of New Roads; brothers-in-law, Clayton D'Avy of Opelousas and Jack Singleton of Baton Rouge; and great-grandchild, Amber Schilling. Left to cherish her memory are her sons and their spouses, Dr. Lynn and Kathleen Broussard Hannaman, and Lewis and Jeanie Barthel Hannaman, all of Baton Rouge; her daughters and their spouses, Kathleen Hannaman Butler and Dr. Rex Butler of Phoenix, AZ, Patricia Hannaman Schilling and Emile (Fred) Schilling III of River Ridge; 8 grand-children: Kelly Hannaman Soudelier and husband Aaron of Sugar Land, TX, Jeffrey Hannaman of Baton Rouge; Dr. Scott Hannaman and wife, Kristen, of Lake Charles; Stephen Schilling and wife, Melanie of Baton Rouge, Kevin Schilling and wife Katherine, of Metairie; Brian Schilling and fiancée, Elaine Suever of Huntsville, AL; and L. Bart Hannaman and fiancée, Emily Maher, and Jessica Ann Hannaman, all of Houston. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, who were the lights of her life: Madelyn, Abigail, and Parker Soudelier; Brooke and Jackson Schilling; and Garrison and Ann Schilling. She is also survived by two sisters, Clara Lindsly D'Avy of Opelousas, and Alice Lindsly Singleton of Baton Rouge, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She treasured spending time with her husband and family members. She was a resident of The Haven at Windermere for almost 6 years, and many of her friends there will also miss her. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Baton Rouge, on Sunday, April 14, from 5:00-7:00 P. M. Visitation will also be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., Baton Rouge, on Monday, April 15 from 9:00-10:00 A. M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A. M. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be Ann's six grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic High School, Baton Rouge, or Pointe Coupee Historical Society, Poydras Building Fund, in New Roads.
