Born on October 21, 1932, in Baton Rouge, Armand H. Demers, Jr. affectionately known to his family as “Honey, Dad, Pawpaw, and Poppy" passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 91, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was the beloved patriarch of the Demers family and will be deeply missed. Armand was a car enthusiast, an artist, and an endearing soul to all who knew him. He retired from GSU/Entergy after thirty-seven years of dedicated service as a foreman in the relay department. A veteran, Armand proudly served in both the United States Marine Corps and Air Force during the Korean War, showcasing his unwavering commitment to his country. He attended 2 years at LSU, and he was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where he found solace and community. In his free time, Armand was quite the talented artist, winning "best of show," and "the people's choice" at the Baton Rouge Division Art and Hobby Show. His artwork was his legacy, and it lives on in several of the Demers family's homes as a tribute to his skill and vision. Armand was also fiercely dedicated to his yard and proud of it, winning several mentions for "yard of the month" in his neighborhood.
Armand is survived by his loving wife and companion of 68 years, Patricia Ann Demers, his brother Ricky (Joan), and his children: Ronan (Suzie) of Metairie, Kerry (Terri) of Covington, and Robyn Bravata (Ricky) of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Emily, Kristopher, Jordan, Ryan, Michael, Nicholas, and Brent, and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Armand and Josephine Demers.
Armand lived a full, beautiful, and unforgettable life, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA. 70817 on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
