It is with profound sadness and hearts full of love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara Jean Pate LeBlanc, who left us peacefully on May 23, 2026 at the age of 92. Born on June 15, 1933 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she was the cheri shed daughter of Elree Pate, Sr. And Lillian Conrad Pate. Barbara was the devoted wife of the late Clarence J. "CJ" LeBlanc, Jr. For 61 years. Together they built a beautiful life and raised four children. She was a fiercely loving and supportive mother to Mike, Steve, Mark and Toni. Barbara was happiest when spending time with her beloved family, enjoyed her long career in the Men's suits department at Sears and was always willing to travel with CJ. Barbara Jean LeBlanc will be remembered for her unwavering support and unconditional love for her immediate and extended family, for whom she always had a kind ear, warm
heart and gentle guidance, and the profound impact she left on everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, CJ, her beloved brother, Elree W. Pate. Jr. ("Brother"), angelic sister-in-law, Elizabeth Pate ("Libby") and favorite brother-in-law. Wayne Stabiler, Sr. She is survived by her adored sister, Shirley Stabiler, three sons, Mike LeBlanc, Steve LeBlanc (Kim), Mark LeBlanc (Juanita), and her daughter, Toni Giffel (David). Barbara was so proud of her grandchildren, Kristel Watson, Travis LeBlanc, Tyler Giffel and Allie Conroy, six great-grandchildren, Heather Watson, Madyson Watson, Grady Giffel, Riley Giffel, Leo Conroy and Casey Conroy, and great-great grandson, Hudson Walker.
Barbara was a long-time parishioner at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. We would like to thank Father Josh for his blessings, prayers and comfort provided to Mom.
Per Mom's wishes, the family will celebrate her life together, privately, with as much love and admiration as she gave to us. We would like to thank her amazing caregivers from Audobon Palliative Care and Audobon Hospice Care, especially Tanner, Yolanda and Beatrice. If you are so inclined to honor Mom's generous spirit, her favorite charities were St. Jude Children's Hospital, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and the American Heart Association.
Rest in peace our Angel. Your love and guidance will live on in us forever.
