Dear Dylan and Family,
I’m saddened for your great loss!
Your Mom was such a great help and friend to me when we were teaching at STM
I will always cherish those precious years with fond memories!
Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and in my prayers!


I first knew Barbara in 1955 when I transferred to her elementary school (Southdowns) in Baton Rouge.  She always had a sweet disposition and didn't seem to mind being much taller than her classmates.  We were in occasional touch since our 40th high school reunion, which was t he last time I saw her (I live way up north)  She was just as nice as I remembered her and it was great to reconnect with her then.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her son.  I heard from a classmate that your father passed away within the year so I send extra sympathy for him too.

Miss Barbara, it was such a pleasure to meet such a genuine, sweet, gracious lady such as you.  Our families were brought together by the beautiful marriage of Your son Dylan and my niece Crystal.  There was special memories and friendships formed during that short time, and you have left an impression on us that we will never forget.  With your death I feel like the old saying “two ships passing in the sea”. There  were many more things we wanted to do in the future with our new friend!  But boy did we have a good time with what we had.  Thank you for the special memories you gave us, your gracious hospitality and your friendship. You are one special lady and I’m sure God has a job picked out for you in Heaven, maybe  Heaven Hospitality Angel.  Rest In Peace my friend, until we meet again!  Joanne and John Cooper


Barbara was one of the sweetest lady I have ever meet!  She was a true Southern Woman.  The kindness, love, and hospitality she showed you the minute you walked through her door,  was genuine, you were instantly her friend.  So happy that we are family, sad to have to say goodbye, and that we won't  be able to share our future grandbaby together!!!  I was so looking forward to see you hold her/him.  I can imagine the pride and loving glow  in your face and eyes.  I will miss you......All our love to you!  Karen and Terry.
