Barry was a member of United States Army Reserve, Central Lions’ Club and Knights of Columbus. He retired as a claims adjuster after a long-dedicated career with Gulf States Utilities, Entergy, Cable Works, Cunningham Lindsey, and Quality & Claims Solutions.
Following retirement, Barry enjoyed trips to the casinos, lunches with friends, estate sales, and most of all spending time with his best bud, his great-grandson, Maverick. He was well known for his generous spirit, passing out candy, sixpence, or paying for a meal. Barry is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Cohen Glover and mother, Jean Brown Glover. Barry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pam; children, Derek Glover (Nicole) and Ashleigh Honore (TJ); grandchildren, Jonathan Honore (Madigan), Bryce Glover (Montgomery John), Brandt Glover (Sydney), and Lauren Honore; great-grandchildren, Maverick Honore, Jett Honore, and Scottlyn James Glover; sister, Christine Beck; and a host of other family members and friends. Visitation will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brodgon Lane, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
