Beatrice "Bea"Mitchell

A resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away at Golden Age Nursing Home, Denham Springs, on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. She was 90 and a native of Bayou Goula. Visiting at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Friday, March 4, from noon until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m., celebrated by the Rev. Michael Moroney. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by a son, Michael J. Mitchell Sr. and his wife Jeanette; three grandchildren, Michael Mitchell Jr. and wife Kim, Randy Mitchell and wife Sonya, and Jeffrey Mitchell and fiancée Robin Rimes, and her daughter, Brie Rimes; two great-grandchildren, Layton and Logan Mitchell; sister-in-law, Mary Morales; and special angel, Vanessa Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Mitchell; parents, Ernest Morales and Angeline Falcon Morales; sister, Mabel M. Brown; and a brother, Ernest Morales Jr. Pallbearers will be Keith Graham, Dale Mitchell, Mickey Mitchell, Randy Mitchell, Jeff Mitchell and Mitchell Carter. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Ladies Altar Society, Bea's Rosary Group and other church and civic organizations.
