Betty Jean was born on her parent’s farm in Gallman, MS, the youngest of the ten children born to Jack C. Sykes, Sr and Annie Mae (Keene) Sykes. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas P. Brignac, Sr, her six brothers (Clinton, Maurice, Frank, Ray, Sydney and J.C.) and her three sisters (Dorothy, Ruth and Annie Lou). She is survived by her two children, Susan Hubbs (Danny), Holden, LA, and Thomas P. Brignac, Jr (Carla), Mechanicsville, VA, her four grandchildren, Brian Hubbs (Holly), Livingston, LA, Brett Hubbs (Taylor), French Settlement, LA, Darby Brignac, Indianapolis, IN, and Andrew Brignac (Danielle), Canton, OH, and her four great-grandchildren (Landry, Peyton, Beau and Blake Hubbs).
Betty Jean loved Jesus and was faithful to share Him with people she met. She enjoyed reading her Bible, gardening and caring for her pets.
Betty Jean was buried in a private ceremony at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge on May 23, 2024.
