She began her teaching career at Baton Rouge Junior High School, established the Baton Rouge Reading Clinic, served as academic counselor for athletes at LSU, and concluded her career as guidance counselor at McKinley Middle Magnet School. One of her fondest memories was accompanying Dale Brown and his basketball team to Hawaii. Sue's children were the hundreds of students whom she nurtured and guided with wisdom and affection. Sue leaves behind many beloved friends to whom she devoted time, energy and a caring spirit. She valued the many good times she shared with her friends at The Patrician. She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Memorial service will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Thursday, April 1, at 2 p.m. Special thanks is extended to Sandy Hull and her staff at Home Instead Senior Care.
