

Bobbie Jean, a retired accountant in the LA Dept of Transportation and Development and a resident of Baton Rouge, lost her battle on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. She resides now free of pains and suffering, with the Father above. Also, Preceding Bobbie in death were her parents, Thomas Sr. and Allie Tingle Slaton Rush; her sister, Alice Chandler and a brother Thomas Slaton Jr. Bobbie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Nicholas Charles LeFors Sr.; three sons, Nicholas Jr. And wife Peggy Barbour of Washington State; Larry and wife Susan Carter ; David and wife Michelle Hanks of Indiana; 9 Grandchildren; Charlee LeFors Kinman and husband Niles, Jenilee LeFors Hurley and husband Dan, Nicholas III, Eric LeFors and wife June Ann DeLaune, Stefan LeFors and wife Joy Trahan, Alec, Kiva, Zeke, and Leon LeFors. 11 Great Grandchildren; Samuel, Nathan ,and Rachel Kinman, Savannah, Scarlett, Victoria, Olivia, Caroline, and Priscilla LeFors; Luke and Ella LeFors; a sister, Lena Shearer; nieces, nephews, cousins and many extended family members. Bobbie, deaf since birth, leaves a host of friends in the deaf community who will miss her indomitable spirit and contagious smile. Bobbie was a wonderful wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Nothing was more important to her than her family. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1 pm at the Comite Baptist Church located at 12250 Greenwell Springs Rd. Baton Rouge, La 70814. The Personalities of the LeFors will be officiating. A potluck/reception follows at the Comite Baptist Church. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bobbie's memory to the Comite Baptist Church.
