"A native of Baltimore, MD and a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, LA, he passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the age of 81. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Captain, a former owner of The Wine and Cheese Shop, and a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Virginia Ellis Corkran; daughters, Jocie C. Thomas and Tracy Corkran of Melbourne, FL, and Shawn Corkran of York, PA; 3 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 4 great-grandsons; and 1 great-granddaughter. Tim is preceded in death by his parents Connor Corkran, Sr. and Catherine Leidlich Corkran; and siblings, Connor, Jr., Patricia, Michael, Anne, and Noel. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (2250 Main Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802) from 11:00 am until the Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm officiated by Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Burial will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery. The family would like to thank the ICU and Palliative Care Doctors and Staff of Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet for their kindness, compassion, and excellent care.
