Carmen Lively Bergeron

On Friday afternoon, April 28, 2017, Carmen passed away with her family at her side. She was 91 and a resident of Walker, La. Carmen was born in Plaquemine on May 7, 1925 and graduated from Plaquemine High School. She attended business college where she acquired skills that allowed for a successful 31 year career with La. DOTD. After retirement she enjoyed traveling through America and countries around the world with her now deceased husband, of 64 years, Roy J. Bergeron. Carmen remained an active member of the FMCA Chapter Crusin’ Cajuns RV Club of which she and Roy were members since 1974. She was also a member of the F.O.P. Women’s Auxillary.

Survived by Two daughters and a son-in-law Wanda B. and Grady L. Hill and Carmen Ann B. St. Romain; three sisters, Juanita Lively Benoit of Zachary, Nora Lee Lively Peaches Davis and husband Herman of Baker and Marquetta Lively Kleinpeter of Zachary and Sisters-in-law Carmen W. Lively, Ruby Bergeron Guerin and husband Bert, five grandchildren, Bryan Hill, Melissa Hill Lutsey and husband Matt, Cynthia Hill Bourgoyne and husband Brian, Michael J. St. Romain and wife Krista, and Shane Watson; Thirteen great-grandchildren Cole Cupit, Alexandar Lutsey, Emily, Blake and Mason Bourgoyne, Bridger, Camden and Calli Hill, Michela Grace, Gabriel and Sebastian St. Romain, Kayla and Caleb Watson.

Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Bergeron, her parents, Eldon Ray and Clottile Wiseman Lively, and two brothers and sister-in-law Norman R. and Marie and Thomas W. Lively. Pallbearers will be Bryan Hill, Brian Bourgoyne, Michael St Romain, Shane Watson, Cole Cupit, Blake Bourgoyne, Mason Bourgoyne and Dale Lively. Honorary Pallbearers are Bert Guerin and Lynn Lively. Carmen was loved by many and will definitely be missed by all!

Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, La. On Tuesday, May 2nd at 10 a.m. with religious services starting at 2:00pm, conducted by Pastor Jesse Bourgoyne at 2 p.m. with Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park
