

Carolyn M. Carter-Springer passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2017, at the age of 68. She started her career in the furniture business at Fraenkel’s Wholesale and went on to be the General Sales Manager at Olinde’s. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, class of 1967. She attended USL and belonged to Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She was the loving wife of Shannon Lee Springer and loving sister of Stephen, Dave and John Myshrall. Her nieces and nephews are Britney, Alexis, Conner, Brandon, Clint, Stephen and Dustin. She was the loving mother of Todd, Doug, Ryan, Joseph, Jonathan and Aimee. She was the grandmother (Nannie Carol) of Chance, Christian, Apryl, Brennan, Andrew, Alexis, Kinsley, Beau, Collin, Sophia and William. She is also survived by four daughters-in-law, Lisa, Jessica and Charlene Carter and Kelli Springer. Carol is preceded in her death by her parents, Rod and Lu Myshrall and niece, Courtney Myshrall. Sincere thanks to the doctors and staff of the Multiple Myeloma Center in Little Rock, Arkansas and the medical oncology staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center for the excellent care during her eleven year battle with cancer. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 9:00AM until the time of funeral service at 10:00AM. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
