Cecil Ray Richardson

Cecil Ray Richardson passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at the age of 85. He was born on June 12, 1932 in Baton Rouge, LA. Cecil retired in 2004 from American Building Maintenance. After retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at the Baton Rouge General. Cecil loved being with his friends at the YMCA, he never met a stranger and was a friend to all who met him. Cecil and his family enjoyed many beach vacations through the years. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Coats Richardson; son, Keith and wife, Janis; daughters, Diane Doran and husband, Pat, and Amy Kiger and husband, Lance; grandchildren, Sara, Ben and Jennifer Smith, Emily Nelson and husband, Casey, Cammie Derrick and husband, Ben, Wyatt and Reid Kiger; great-grandchildren, Madison, Dylan, Owen, Shepard and Berkleigh; sister, Bonnie Dilmon. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, December 15, 2017, from 11:00AM until the time of funeral services at 2:00PM. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
