Charles D. McIntyre

Charles Douglas McIntyre left us on December 23, 2023 to spend eternal rest with his loving wife of 60 years, Joan, his son Kevin, mother, Gloria and plenty of friends and family that have previously passed. Charles was a welder/pipefitter and member of local 198. He was very active with St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where he was an usher, member of the Knights of Columbus, and a part of the St. Alphonsus men’s club. He and Joan were proud to be some of the first members who started the St. Josephs Alter at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Charles loved to hunt, fish, play cards and most of all, cook. He enjoyed handing out his wife’s crocheted Santa’s and Easter bunnies that they made together. He was a great husband, father, cook, teacher and friend who will be greatly missed. May he be at rest with Our Lord and his loving wife, Joan. Charles leaves behind his two children, son, Charles “Chuck” McIntyre II; daughter, Sheila Mayeux, son in law, Tim Mayeux; three grandsons, Lance and his wife Amanda Mayeux, Michael Mayeux, Thomas and his wife Alexis Mayeux and three great-grand daughters, Belle, Julia, and Charlie Kate. The family invites all individuals who were touched by his life to join us at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Visitation will resume, Friday, December 29, 2023 from 10:00am until funeral mass time at 12:00pm. Interment will immediately follow.
