A native and resident of Eunice, he passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at St. Clare Manor in Baton Rouge. He was 81, a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 10 a.m. until memorial service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia Derbes Moreau, of Eunice; their treasured puppy, Brandy; two daughters, Fran Phillips and her husband, Tom, of Baton Rouge, and Jeanne Higginbotham and her husband, Ray, of Eunice; son, Don Moreau and his wife, Jo Anne, of Walker; sister, Rose Richard, of Rayne; two brothers, Samuel Moreau and his wife, Dorothy, of New Iberia, and Ronald Moreau and his wife, Floyanne, of Lafayette; ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, F.R. and Louise Moreau; grandson, Tommy Phillips; and brother, Gerald Moreau. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory should be considered to Hospice of Baton Rouge.
