Charles Stevens "Stevey" Myer

"Stevey was 80 years of age and born in Washington. DC. He was a long time resident of Baton Rouge. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Zoll Tucker Myer; son, Charles S. Myer, Jr.; stepsons, Eric Tucker (Shoni) of Dallas, TX., Alex Tucker (Rebecca) of Baton Rouge; and four step grandchildren, Holden, Caitlin, Christian, and Hayes Tucker. He is also survived by a brother, Richard Myer of Baton Rouge. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles "Buddy" Myer and Minna Williams Myer; daughter, Catherine Ann Myer Yelverton and his first wife, Ann Choate Myer. Stevey was especially proud that his father played Major League Baseball for seventeen years with both Washington Senators and the Boston Red Sox. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a graduate of University High School and LSU where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. Stevey was a General Contractor, former President of Baton Rouge Homebuilders Assn., and a member of the Baton Rouge Country Club. He was an avid fresh and saltwater fisherman and enjoyed playing golf. He was a member of the LSU baseball team and later coached Little League baseball. Visitation will be Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10am in the First Presbyterian Church Reception Room with services in the Dunham Chapel at 2pm.
