Charles Winfield"Popa"Chustz

A life long resident of Morganza, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Pointe Coupee General Hospital. He was 86 years of age, a retired commercial fisherman and construction worker. He was a devout Christian who loved and served God with all his heart. Charles was a devoted father of many years and a loving grandfather. He was well loved by his family, friends and community. He never met a stranger. "Popa" will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by a son, Charles Eric of Morganza, a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Percy Bonaventure Jr. also of Morganza, a sister, Mary Helen Genovese, Baton Rouge, two brothers, Harvey Stephen of Alexandria, and David Ronald of Morganza, three grandchildren, Angel Wolter, Jonathan and Benjamin Bonaventure, one great-grandchild, Ethan Wyatt Bonaventure, and Clara, a special care giver. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Dupre, parents Joseph Walter and Myrtle Mabel, four brothers, John Bennet, Peter Aaron, Julius Walter, Ivan Anthony and one sister Carol Ann. Visitation will be at Saint Ann's Catholic Church in Morganza, conducted by Father Keun Soo Lee, on Saturday March 15, 2014 from 8:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
