

Christopher Joseph Borek, 20, of Baton Rouge, passed away unexpectedly August 25, 2013. He was born December 2, 1992, at Tyndall AFB, Florida, the son of Kathryn Kershaw Borek and Brian Frederick Borek. From the time he was very little, Christopher had a big heart and an impish streak. He loved fishing, LSU football, and making people smile. Christopher is survived by his mother, Kathryn, and sister, Rachael, both of Baton Rouge; his father and step-mother, Brian and Jennifer Borek, Villa Rica, GA; maternal grandparents Donald and Betty (Kleinpeter) Kershaw, Baton Rouge; paternal grandmother Pamela Lempke Borek, Wyandotte, MI; uncles Paul (Starline) Kershaw and Andy (Cherly) Kershaw, Baton Rouge; Chris (Dawn) Kershaw, Plano, TX; Todd (Lori) Borek, Hamburg, MI; aunt Kelly (Todd) Heissenbuettel, Wyandotte, MI; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Jennifer Rose Gonzales. Services are at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Highway Thursday, August 29, 2013, with visitation at 10 a.m. until the funeral services at 11:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. Michael Collins and Rev. Phil Spano. Pall bearers are Paul, Chris, and Andy Kershaw, John Paul Rittell, Todd Borek, and Vincent Davis. The family extends special thanks to Donna and Vincent Davis.
