Retired from Black and Decker/DeWalt, he died Friday, May 9, 2008, at 1:45 a.m. at his home in Baton Rouge after a long struggle with cystic fibrosis. He was 52 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, May 11, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Religious service in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. T.W. Terral. Interment in Mars Hill Cemetery, Smithdale, Miss., Monday at 1:30 p.m. Survived by his mother, Wynell Dye Reeves; former wife, Melanie St. Romain; sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Doug Devore; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Kathy Reeves and Steve and Susan Reeves; niece, Kristina Reeves; and two nephews, Justin and Jordan Devore. Preceded in death by his father, Harrell E. Reeves. Donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation.
