Clarence Joseph Trabeau, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on his birthday, July 5, 2018, at the age of 88. He was born in Sorrento, Louisiana, on July 5, 1930. He was a graduate of St. Amant High School and a member of the Louisiana National Guard. He was a boilermaker/welder and retired from Local 582. He loved to hunt, fish, and garden. Clarence is survived by four daughters, Dana Free and husband Alan, Danette Campbell and husband David, Dawn Mire and husband Jeff, and Dara Spillman Hutches and husband Mike; grandchildren, Jayce, Kyle, and Madison Free, Maggie and Cade Campbell, Mallory, Matthew, Mackenzie and Macullen Mire, and Riley and Mason Spillman; great-grandchlld, Caroline Free; sisters Maryann Martinez, Peggy Duhe, Nelda Luquette, and Diane LeBlanc. He was preceded in death by this wife of 56 years, Marian Waguespack; parents Sidney Joseph and Loney Gautreaux Trabeau; sister Rita Myers; infant brother, Shelby; and son-in-law, Frank Spillman. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Visitation will be at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Monday, July 9, 2018, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
