

Claudia Foxworth Hile went to celebrate Easter with her risen Lord on March 27, 2016. She will be missed by all her knew her. Claudia was born in Wiggins, Mississippi, November 22, 1920, and spent most of her childhood in Lumberton, Mississippi, where she graduated from Lumberton High School. She then attended Southern Mississippi College, now the University of Southern Mississippi. She married Dudley Bart Hile December 25, 1945, and moved to Baton Rouge where she remained her entire life. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, having worked with children in Sunday School and as a member of the choir for many years. Claudia worked many years for Wilson Distributors and later retired from the EBRP School Board and has devoted her retirement years to family and friends. She is survived by daughters Cindy Hile Hazel and husband Grady, and Elva Hile Miller and husband Jay both of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Kelly Hazel King and husband Lynn, Ashley Hazel Istre and husband Chad, also of Baton Rouge, John Brett Miller of Corona, CA, Claudia Jaye Miller of Chicago, IL, and Jacob Quinn Miller, of Baton Rouge; great grandchildren Parker James and Olivia Ashley King, and Camille Leigh and Jack Grady Istre. She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret Rogers Foxworth and James Kosico Foxworth; her husband Dudley Bart Hile and a granddaughter Jayme Lynn Miller. Many thanks for the loving care provided by Hospice In His Care and caregivers Pierre Baker, Clara Anderson, Mary Bell, Wendy Johnson, Shonda Brock, Doretha Bailey, and Tina Matthews. Visitation will be held on Saturday April 2, 2016 at Greenoaks Funeral Home form 1PM until the memorial service begins at 2:30PM. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
