Clyde Smith Thompson, III a native of Columbia, South Carolina, longtime resident of New Orleans and resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Friday April 6, 2012 at the age of 61. Clyde began working at an early age at Winn Dixie's New Orleans Distribution Center and retired as Manager of that facility. He is survived by his parents, Clyde Smith Thompson, Jr. and Isabel Pickett Thompson, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Thompson Willis and husband Chris and Pamela Thompson Quigley and husband Jeff, nieces, Ashley Holleron and husband Jason and their children, Maddox, Case and Sydney, Kimberly Freeman and husband Kevin and their son Asher, Hope Willis and Caroline Quigley, a nephew, Eric Quigley, his aunt, uncle and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held in Charleston, S.C. under the direction of J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Burial will be in the Riverview Memorial Park in North Charleston.
