
A native of Baton Rouge and a retired co-owner of C.L. Adams and Son Toyota, he died at 1 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, at his home in Greenwell Springs. He was 82 and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, June 21, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home chapel on Monday from 9 a.m. until religious services at noon, conducted by the Rev. U.K. Azuoru and the Rev. Jeremy Dailey. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his daughter, Patty Tate; five grandchildren, Susan Tate LeBlanc, Don Tate, Lisa Sullivan Clark and husband Dan, of St. Louis, Richard Lee Sullivan and wife Casie Lynn, and Jennifer Anne Tate; and three great-grandchildren, Blandyn, Blair Leanne and Blake Lynn LeBlanc. He will always be remembered with much love and affection by his daughter-in-law, Anna Goyea, and her husband, Wayne, of St. Louis. Preceded in death by his wife, Anastasia Freitas Sullivan; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Marie Sullivan; and an infant grandson. Pallbearers will be Don Tate, Richard Lee Sullivan, Donald Tate, Chris Sullivan, James Sullivan and Harvey Crenshaw. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Ray Sullivan, Jerry Sullivan and Jeff Sullivan. He was a Mason and a Shriner. The family would like to give its thanks and appreciation to the wonderful people at Amedysis Hospice Services with special thanks to Leslie Kinney, R.N. Special thanks also to our special angels, Emma Turner and Van Morris, for their loving devotion and care of Papa.
