

Passed away on September 5th, 2013 at the age of 69. He was a retired Major of the Warrant's Division of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffs Office after 43 years of service. He was well known and a friend to all. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Yvonne Schissel Martello; sons, Patrick Anthony Martello (wife Sukanya) of Baton Rouge and Matthew Joseph Martello of Denham Springs; brother, Michael Wayne Martello, Sr. of Baton Rouge; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Carlo and Ida Mae Swanson Martello; sister, Leona Martello Leleaux; brother, Carlo A. Martello, Jr.; and nephew Shawn Martello. Pallbearers will be Tommy Gauthreaux, Thomas Cook, John Michael Cook, James Mitchell Freeman, Henry "Bubba" Pelitire, Michael Wayne Martello, Jr., Dean Kannon, and Autrey Rivere, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Kenneth Denoux and Edward "Ed" Rivere. Visitation will be on Friday, September 6th at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, East, 11000 Florida Boulevard from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 7th from 12pm until Funeral Service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Services will be conducted by Bobby Dale Callender.
