Cynthia Marie Cokes Jackson

Cindy, a native of East Baton Rouge, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in Houston, Harris County, Texas after battling cancer, at the age of 54. She is survived by her husband, Mark Wade Jackson; sons, Dwayne Bernard Cokes and his daughter, Grace Alise Cokes, and Mark Wade Jackson, Jr.; one sister, Mary Agnes and her husband, Charles Hammett, their children, Charles "Russell" Hammett and Laura Leah Hammett; brother-in-law, Paul Yelverton, his children, Steven Paul Yelverton and Susan Marie Yelverton, her husband, Michael White, and her son Gabriel Michael McAlister; nephew, David; half-brother, William Vance, "Billy" Cokes, and his children, Sarah Nicole Cokes, Hayleigh Bergeron, Tyton and Andrew Bergeron; and grandnephew, Colby Danniel Hammett. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Dewey (JD) and Mary Eva Bernard Cokes; sister, Jane Frances Cokes Yelverton; brothers, James Dewey (Jim) Cokes, Jr. and David Neal Cokes; grandparents, Dewey Vance and Bessie Lane Cokes and Joseph Taylor and Adalize Loup Bernard. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St. on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10:00 am with a visitation starting at 8:00 am. Burial will follow services at Roselawn Memorial Park.
