

“Sometimes God picks the flower that is still in full bloom; sometimes the rosebud’s chosen that we feel He’s picked too soon.” Daisy Lee Holden passed away May 1, 2015. She was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, native of Holden, LA. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church. Daisy retired from Sullivan Oil Company after many years of dedicated service. She was a loving mother to her children and the perfect Nanny to her grandchildren. Daisy is survived by her children, Randy (Daphni) Holden, Paul (Laurie) Holden, and Sonya (David) Pulliam; grandchildren, Micah (Sandy) Holden, Melissa (Guy) Mistretta, Chad Pulliam, Sunni (Brian) Ammons, and Kayla Pulliam; and great grandchildren, Isabella Holden, Karley Mondrick, Landry Holden, Sydney Ammons, Bryce Holden, and Quinn Ammons. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Efferson Jones; father, Berlin Efferson; husband, Simon Paul Holden; brother, Charles Efferson; and sisters, Evelyn Fayard, Tincy Stepp, and Anna Mae Breeland. Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 8:30 pm. Visitation will continue at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church on Monday at 9:00 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Courtney Cemetery in Holden, LA. Pallbearers will be Micah Holden, Chad Pulliam, David Pulliam, Bryan Ammons, Guy Mistretta, Eric Bourgeois, and William Stepp
