David A. Baylis

David Anthony Baylis, a native of London, England, and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on December 4, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He was 63. David was the owner and operator of Aqua-Tech USA. He was known for his love of the ocean, and especially enjoyed teaching scuba diving. He is survived by his wife, Amy Helouin Baylis; three children, Lindsay Baylis and wife Katie, Lanis Carruth and wife Shani, and Jenny Carruth Wade and husband Mark; two grandchildren, Caleb Carruth and Josie Hughes; best friend, Dennis Jake Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Pamela Baylis; and sister, Anne Baylis. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until a Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m.
