David B. Bunn

David B. “Dave” Bunn was born June 11, 1937, and passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in Baton Rouge, LA. Dave worked for Allied Chemical for 16 yrs. then was the founding Agent for Shelter Insurance in LA and employed for 52 yrs. Dave is preceded in death by his 1st wife of 51 yrs. and mother of his two girls, Janice Bunn. Dave is survived by and was blessed with his 2nd wife & loving caretaker for 13 yrs., Tonya Bunn; daughters, Kathy Erwin (Jesse) & Karen Townley; bonus children, Brandon & Mitchell Parent, & Bridgette Parent (Ward Reid); grandsons, Andrew Erwin (Dara), & Zachary Townley; bonus grandsons, Rumi & Bodhi Reid; and great-grandson, Kaiden Erwin. Dave was an avid LSU sports fan! He requested everyone dress casually. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 4pm to 7pm. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, June 26, 2023, from 9am until the time of funeral services at 11am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Jesse Erwin, Andrew Erwin, Zachary Townley, Larry Buquoi, Wilfred Chapman Jr, Chad McCants, Mike Street & Mitchell Parent. Honorary Pallbearers are Anna Kyle, Dara Erwin, Bruce Hamilton & Brandon Parent.
