David Allen Swain Jr., native of Baton Rouge and resident of Ethel, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at the age of 71. He was a self-employed welder. David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary L. Swain; daughter, Barbara Swain Moon and husband Ronald; sons, David L. Swain, and Michael A. Swain and wife Kimberly; sisters, Gloria Yosp and Bobbie Jean Burrett; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 2 sisters. Visitation will be from 5pm to 9pm Friday, September 6, 2013 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, and will continue on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the funeral home from 9am until the funeral service at 12pm.
