David Paul White, 54, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at his home in Columbia, S.C., after a lengthy battle with coronary disease. A native of Baton Rouge, David was a 1974 graduate of Glen Oaks High School, attended Southeastern Louisiana University and was an Air Force veteran. A kind, gentle and caring man, David will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Anita Purvis White; mother, Mary Katherine White; brother and sister-in-law, Les and Connie White; daughters, Karen Michelle White and Susan Cooksey; and son, John Paul White. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Victor "Paul" White. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Sunday, July 18 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Road, Monday, July 19, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Mike Cussen. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
