A retired writer, photographer and filmmaker for the LSU Office of Media Services for more than 40 years, he died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 82, a native of Lake Cle Elum, Wash., and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served as a private first class in the 1266th Engineering Construction Battalion. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Tuesday, Sept. 30, was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at First United Methodist Church, 930 North Blvd., on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. until funeral at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Nick Kalivoda. Survived by two sons, John F. Anderson and his wife, Ashley, and their children, George and Caroline, and Robert A. Anderson. Preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Lynch Anderson; parents, Andrew Anderson and Fredericka Handel Walsh; and siblings, Anna Angle, Beulah Hughes, Arthur Anderson and John Anderson. Pallbearers will be John Anderson, Robert Anderson, Francis Lynch, Rick Lynch, Clarence Powers and Brad Lynch. He was a member of the LSU Retirees Group, Covenant Prayer Group, Antioch Fellowship, First United Methodist Sunday Singles Group, Aldersgate Sunday school at First United Methodist Church and LSU Campus Bible Class.
