Donald Earl Nichols, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on September 21, 2021 at Baton Rouge General Hospital Bluebonnet at the age of 85. Don wore many hats in his life. He was a Christian, a mechanic, a boat racer and he worked for Allstate as a Claims Supervisor. Don never really retired. When he left Allstate, he opened his own business, Nichols Boring and Sleeving, in his garage. Most of all Don was a much beloved Christian man who loved his family and friends and always let the Golden Rule guide the way he lived his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Vernon Nichols and Bertha Aline Nichols and his brother Walter Roland Nichols
He is survived by his wife, Emma Lou Nichols, his daughter, Donna Lynn Nichols Marsh, his sister, Nelda Gaye Nichols Ross, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation, which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM and Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 2:00PM. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 2:00PM. Burial to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
