Dorothy Taylor Sharp passed away peacefully on September 13, 2014, in Pineville, North Carolina. She was 89. Dot grew up in Mississippi but was a native and long time resident of Baton Rouge, where she was a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents Lecy and Lona Taylor, Brothers Ed and John Taylor and husband William Sharp. She is survived by daughter Melissa Sharp of Monroe, NC, son and daughter-in-law David and Tammy Sharp of Clarksburg, MD, grandchildren Alyssa and Daniel Sharp, Niece and Nephews Tracy, Brian and wife Cindy Taylor, Joel and Rodney Taylor, Sister-in-law Mildred Taylor and Grand Nieces and Nephew Lilly, Lauren, Sara, Allison and Dane. Graveside Memorial and Burial will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 10:00 am.
