Eleanor Marie Thibodeaux

Eleanor Marie Saizan Thibodeaux was born August 7, 1938, and died on March 29, 2017 at the age of 78. She was a native of Lake Charles and a life-long resident of Baton Rouge. For the past four years she was a resident of Flannery Oaks. She retired from Louisiana State University after twenty-five years of service. She was a devout Catholic and was very active in her church. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, listening to music and visiting with family and friends. She was the matriarch of our family with a heart of gold. Proceeded in death by; mother Roberta Rodrigue; father James Saizan; brother Jimmy Saizan and sister Bernadine Saizan Stokes. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Leo whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Loving brother, Bobbie and wife Barbara Saizan of Austin, Texas.She leaves her three children, Richard (Richie) and wife Sue; Susan Ann and her fiancé Donnie Shaffett; and Michael (Mike) Thibodeaux. She leaves five grandchildren, Justin Andrews; Christin and husband Brett Dove; Brooke Thibodeaux; Precious Thibodeaux and Ricki Betancourt. She leaves five great-grandchildren, Gracie Thibodeaux; Jackson, Jamison and Jordan Dove; and Ellie Carruth. Memorial will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Visitation Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Services will immediately follow at 1:00 pm *God now holds her in his arms; we hold her forever in our hearts.
