

Robinson, Emily Roberts(Mrs. Wray Edward Robinson)Emily Clara Roberts Robinson born April 27, 1923, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 . She died at the age of 92. Mrs. Robinson was a native and lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. She attended Dufroc Elementary School, Baton Rouge Junior High, Baton Rouge High School and earned a BS from Louisiana State University. She was presented the Volunteer Activist award for her outstanding service to the Baton Rouge community in 1985 . She was a member of the Chi Omega alumnae and a member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge where she served as the first chairman of River Roads Recipes cookbook and Sustainer of the Year in 1993. She was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church where she served on various committees for over 70 years. She is survived by her daughter Emily Wray Robinson Lamont and her husband Randall J. Lamont, a son Thomas Edward Robinson, Sr. and his wife Allyson Alexis Robinson of New Orleans, LA, three grandchildren, Edward Randall Lamont and wife Lanell Glover Lamont, Lindsay Lamont Turner and husband Earl Edwin Turner III, Alexis Robinson Walter and husband Dan Walter of New Orleans. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Kendall Claire Lamont, Earl Edwin Turner IV and Sydney Rowe Turner. She is predeceased by her husband Wray Edward Robinson, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Paul Roberts and two grandchildren, Melissa Margaret Lamont and Thomas Edward Robinson Jr. There will be a private family ceremony in the Chapel of the Twelve Apostles, St. James Episcopal Church followed by burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, Baton Rouge on Thursday, March 31, 2016.
