

Etta Ione (Frazier) Green passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024 at the age of 91. Etta was born in Centerville, Iowa as the third of ten children to Roland H. and Bernice Alice (Knight) Frazier. She earned an Associate of Arts degree in Behavioral Science from Kilgore Junior College, in Kilgore, Texas. Etta’s greatest joy was sharing God’s promises with others and living out her faith. For over 70 years she shared gospel brochures with those at nursing homes and hospitals, and as a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge she helped with prayer requests and the annual garage sale. Etta was cherished by her family and friends and is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Allen Bobbett and Terri and Steve Houston; three grandsons, Jason Bobbett, Justin Green, and Timothy Lennox (Tamara); granddaughter, Audrey Green (and Jason Smith spouse, Denise her mother); nine great-grandchildren (Caleb Prouty and Alyssa (spouse), Joshua Bobbett and Ruby (spouse), Evelyn Bobbett, Annika Bobbett, Jayden Green, Lakelynn Smith, Matthew Lennox (Moon), Mark Lennox, and Elizabeth Lennox); and two great-great grandchildren, Luna and Willa Prouty. Etta is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Jack Green, her son Gary Green, and her granddaughter Tamara Bobbett Lennox. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
