
A native of Woodville, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was a retired school teacher and member of Bethel AME Church, where she served on the Bethel AME Senior Usher Board, and was a member of the Matron Club. She was also a graduate of Southern University, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. Visitation will be at Bethel AME Church, 1358 South Blvd., on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 11:30 a.m. until an Omega Omega service at 1:30 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Herman O. Kelly Jr. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Bennifer H. Tennell, Cheryl C. Huckaby, and Andrea Hall Craven and her husband, Patrick Craven. She is also survived by her sister, Thelma C. Hurt, of Muncie, Ind.; six grandchildren, Monika T. Tucker, Alacia Tennell, Kimberly H. Edwards, Hilry Huckaby IV, Alexis Craven and Simone Craven; five great-grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews including a devoted nephew, Kenneth Dickens; and a brother-in-law, Claudius Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin W. Hall Jr.; parents, Augusta Turner Chrystal and Edward Chrystal; an aunt, Mamie O. Turner; and three sisters, Hazel C. Stafford, Delores C. Adams and Sallie Marie C. Dickens.
