Ed passed away November 18th, 2014 at the age of 82. He was a native of Bay Shore, New York and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana since 1976. Ed was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Ed served four years in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, Navy Club and Progressive Men's Club. He is survived by his loving wife Glenda, a daughter Heather Louth and grandson Christopher Louth; with his marriage to Glenda he gained three additional daughters and three sons-in-law, Rhonda and Eddie Davis, Sonja and Dale Burks, Sharon and David Pratka, and a son and daughter-in-law, H.P. (Pete) and Mandy Firmin and twelve loving grandchildren,Rae Anne Firmin, Pete Joseph Firmin and wife Marlana,Nicholas Burks and fiancée Katy, Rachel and husband Joe Johnson, Clint Davis, JohnFirmin, Elizabeth Davis, Riley Corba, Lily Corba, Hannah Pratka, Mitchell Burks and Hailey Pratka, and a loving daughter-in-law Judy Guarino LoBue. Ed is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will beheld at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, November 21st from 9:00-12:00 with services at noon. Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Pete Joseph Firmin, Joe Johnson, Nicholas Burks, Clint Davis, John Firmin, Mitchell Burks and son H.P.(Pete) Firmin III.
