

Frances T. Dickerson, longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Lane Nursing Home in Zachary at the age of 96. She was born on November 8, 1917 in McComb, MS. Frances was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, which she loved very much. She was very loving and giving, and would always go the extra mile to help someone. Frances will be missed dearly by her children, Charlotte Williamson and husband Albert, Denis A. Duplantier and wife Suzy, and Phyllis Gallent and husband Dave; grandchildren, Lisa Duplantier, Dee Cagle and husband Tommy, Terri Duplantier, Kim McAtee and husband John, and Kristin Beal and husband Trey; great grandchildren, Cole, Stephen and Henry Cagle, Charlie Duplantier, Jane Ellen and Katherine McAtee, Kyle, Jordan and Blake Beal; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Dickerson; parents, Henry and Mattie Mae Thompson; and siblings, Paul Thompson, Mary Emma Bellipanni, and Jessie Mae Smith. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Greenoaks Funeral Home at 12:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Ferris Jordan. Interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Randy Wright, Bubba Pourciau, Floyd White, Trey Beal, John McAtee, Tommy Cagle; and honorary pallbearers are Wylie Duke, Dr. Gerald Barber, and dearest friend, Ruth Brown. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Lane Nursing Home in Zachary for all their love, care and patience.
