
A resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at his home. He was employed at Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Louisiana for 30 years before retiring as vice president of public relations. Afterwards, he retired as vice president of public affairs for the Louisiana Hospital Association. A graduate ofCatholicHigh Schooland LSU, he served as a lieutenant JG in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Cathedral, where he served as an usher. He was past president of the Red Stick Kiwanis, a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the American Legion and served on the alumni board of directors ofCatholicHigh School. A past president of the Senior Men's Golf Association at Sherwood Forest Country Club, he was also a member of numerous other civic and charitable organizations. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mona F. LeBlanc of Baton Rouge; a daughter, AnnMarie and her husband, Doug Nietzel, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sons, Frank and his wife, Donna Bates LeBlanc of Morrilton, Ark., and George and his wife, Aimee Johnson LeBlanc of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Sophie Camille LeBlanc of Morrilton, and Madeleine Rae LeBlanc and Andre Pierce LeBlanc, both of Baton Rouge; and a brother, Marcel Joseph LeBlanc of Opelousas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank vonPhul LeBlanc Sr. and Josephine Charleville LeBlanc. Visiting will be at St. Joseph Cathedral on Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m.until Mass of Christian Burial at noon, with the Rev. Frank Uter, celebrant. Interment inRoselawnMemorial Park.
