Frankie Broome Platte

Frankie Broome Platte, age 95, passed away on October 9, 2022 peacefully in her home. She was born in Moss Point, Mississippi and grew up in Springhill, Louisiana. Frankie came to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1944 to attend LSU, where she met her future husband, Alfred Platte Jr. They were married in 1949 and were residents of Baton Rouge ever since. Frankie was a member of Phi Mu Sorority, DAR, UDC, Colonial Dames, as well as PEO. She served as Regent of DAR for a time. Frankie was a long time member of University Baptist Church. Frankie is survived by her daughter, Aimee Schultheis (Stephen); grandchildren, Michael Platte, Barton Platte (Karray), Katie Schladt (Eric), and Richard Schultheis(Julie); great grandchildren, A.J., Anna Maria, Landon, Olivia, Hayden, and Cole. Frankie is preceded in death by her husband; Alfred W. Platte Jr., as well as her son; Claude A. Platte. Relatives and friends are invited to University Baptist Church on October 14, 2022 for a visitation beginning at 2:00PM until the funeral service beginning at 3:00PM. there will be a private burial held after. The family would like to thank St. James Place and Hospice of Baton Rouge for the care given to Frankie during her stay.
