Fred J. Acosta

Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed from this life June 28, 2016 at age 78. Fred served his country in the Air Force, worked in human resources, and retired from the State of Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services. A graduate of L.S.U, Fred founded the Royal Order the Unicorn in Lafayette, LA and touched many lives. He is survived by the mother of his children, Sandra Pullam; daughters, Francelle Theriot and husband, Kirk, Gina Klein and Rita Frost; daughter in law Anita Acosta; grandchildren, Dr. Lindsey Dietrich and wife Katie, Jacob Polk, Micah Theriot, and Austen Theriot; siblings, Rose Carpenter and husband Dalton, Brenda St. Romain, Johnny Ray Acosta and wife Wendy, Ray E. Acosta and wife Linda, Clara Ann Leonard and husband Charles, and Honore M. Acosta; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Honore M. Acosta, Sr. and Clara Eskine Acosta; sons, Fred J. Acosta, Jr. and Anthony T. Acosta; brother, Lawrence Acosta; and sister in law Millie Acosta. Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd., Friday, July 1st, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm to usher his spirit to the next great adventure.
