A lifelong resident of Jackson and born in Baton Rouge, Gary died at home at 1:40 am Sunday, August 19, 2012. He was 49. Memorial Services will be held at the Hemingbough Amphitheater, 10101 Hwy. 965, St. Francisville, at 10 am Saturday, August 25, 2012. Gary is survived by his wife of seven years, Evelyn Cooper; three daughters, Shannon Russell and husband Shane, Amanda Davis and fiancé Ira Carter, Jr., Laura Sagely and husband Joshua; two sons, Jeremy Cooper and wife Celeste, Timmy Davis and wife Misty; three sisters, Debbie Watson and husband Joseph, Sr., Betty Knox and husband Buddy, Margie Addison and husband Curtis; a sister-in-law, Donna Cooper; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Mary Cooper; and three brothers, Kevin, T-John and Kenny Cooper. Gary was a member of Healing Place Church.
