A resident of Denham Springs and a native of Baker, he died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 60 and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Sept. 12, from 6 p.m. until religious service from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Survived by his wife, Joan L. Hill; two sons, Dustin N. Hill and Garrett M. Hill; sister, Beverly Bingham; and five brothers, Richard Jr., Boyd, Malcolm, Meredith and Troy Hill. Preceded in death by his father, Richard Hill Sr.; mother, Frances Lively Hill; and sister, Wynona Shingleur. He loved music and was a member of the Baton Rouge Corvette Club.
