A resident of Central and a native of Washington, LA, she passed away on Monday, June 25, 2007 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary at age 81. She was the widow of Joseph Samson and a parishioner of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She is survived by her three children, Donald Samson and wife Judy of Central, Linda Carreca and husband Richard of Greenwell Springs and Jack Samson and wife Lauren of Pride, sisters Ida Guillory, Ada Mercantel, Mable Angelle, Zoula Fruge, Wilda Chaisson, Eva Leger and Louise Guidry. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Jessie Morain. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 19th from 5 pm until 9 pm. Visiting continues on Wednesday tentatively at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church after 10 am am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, Father Tom Duhe, celebrant. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
