Born February 25, 1936, she was 88, a native of Baton Rouge, a graduate of Istrouma High School, and for many years an active member of first Victoria Baptist Church, then Florida Boulevard Baptist Church. Her gift to the world for which she was best known publicly was her beautiful piano playing, which she offered for many years in church, at weddings and funerals, and in nursing homes. Her greatest gift to her children was her enduring, unconditional love.
She is survived by her son Arthur Dean Bice and his wife Lynne Reiko Oshiro; her daughter Deborah Lynn Bice; her son Dana Scott Bice and his daughter Halle Parker Bice; her stepsons, Truman Parker and Mike Parker, and their families; and her brother Clifford A. Neames, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Sims Elias Parker, Jr.; her parents, Clifford A. Neames, Sr. and Grace Davis Neames; and her sisters Dorothy Neames Fowler and Maurine Neames Falcon.
Her body was buried in a private ceremony at Greenoaks Memorial Park, on April 18, 2024.
