

"Gregory Scott Sumrall died Friday, October 18th at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital survived by his mother Carolyn and sisters Terri and Pam and lifelong partner Angela. He was proceeded in death by his Father George and Brother Paul. Born December 9, 1967, he was the heart of his Maternal Grandmother "“ Archangel (and we believe she is his angel now)He is a graduate of Redemptorist High School.Throughout his life, Greg made lifelong friends through his interests and hobbies.He was a member of SCA Society for Creative Anachronism for 20+ years, an international educational group devoted to pre-seventeenth century culture. One of his favorite activities were the medieval re-enactments.Like all good Louisiana men, Greg was an enthusiastic LSU and Saints fan. He and Angela could often be found at Ms G's on game day sharing their passion for sports with their friends.Greg was also an avid hobby photographer. He chronicled annual family crawfish boils and SCA events.Greg's life was not without challenges, especially health challenges but he was fortunate to have experienced unconditional love, love from his Mama, love from Angela and the love of his cats "“ fur babies.Greg returned that love with devotion. He lived with ad assisted his Mama. He was Angela's guardian angel, caring for and supporting her for 20 years.Throughout it all, he touched many lives, played many roles and as a son, as a brother, as a nephew and as a partner he will be missed.
